Capability area #3 — Provide excellent teaching and student support

  1. Strategies and/or digital technologies used to support learning for diverse group of students

To ensure inclusivity, I have employed principles that ensure all students from various groups can effectively perform their best. This involves providing multiple means of representation, engagement, and expression to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. In the case that students require further support, I also offer personalised one-on-one tutoring sessions that can help struggling students grasp challenging concepts.

  3. Experience as a PhD examiner

I have received invitations to serve as a PhD examiner at several international universities including:

This experience has not only broadened my global perspective but also honed my skills in evaluating and mentoring PhD students engaged in innovative research. Through this role, I have gained insights into diverse research methodologies and contributed to the development of researchers in academia, aligning with my commitment to fostering excellence in research and education.

  4. Keynote lecture

I have been invited to give a lecture and/or a presentation as an invited or keynote speaker for various international universities and conferences including:
    • Yanshan University, China
As part of the Yanshan-Curtin articulation program for joint BSc (Industrial Optimization) course, I am responsible for teaching the unit 'Advanced Topics in Computational and Applied Mathematics' (Please see the invitation letters for 2018, 2019, and 2023)
    • The International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University
I was invited to give a special talk on the topic of "Data-Driven Traffic Control using Ramp Metering and Variable Speed Limit" to the faculty members of The International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University on the ICDI Advisors Seminar. The event was advertised and posted on Chiang Mai University News page.
